I’m not going to list all the one that show up, check this link here. With the UK theme, there are a few Pokemon that I think have to show up, but I’m going to put those in a separate post as I think that this one has enough to work with! What a Kalos-sal mistake TWO regions would be One thing that the trailer did show us all is that some old Pokemon will be returning alongside the new entries. The Metal Coat theory also gives GameFreak/Nintendo a means of evolving Meltan into Melmetal, a feature that Pokemon Lets Go couldn’t seem to get it’s head around. With what I’ve said about the metal coat and the Wolf legendaries, I can see Meltan being the provider of the item that restores the legendary wolf to its highest form. Meltan ties in to legendary lore/armoured evolution: TRUE Worth noting that Flygon appeared in the trailer, so the mention of an armoured one has picked up a bit of credibility but I just can’t see it happening. Mewtwo has got 2 Mega forms as well so another version would just confuse everyone. I can’t see it as Charizard had a lot of attention with 2 Mega-Evolution forms and as a Ride Pokemon in the Alola region. Remember Cosmog, a pokemon that could evolve into a legendary? There was also Phione, which was the offspring of a legendary… What if our new legendaries follow the same trend! A normal type wolf based pokemon, picked up mid game that when given the metal coat evolves into a legendary depending on which version you have! I don’t think that this is too extreme to happen, as we have seen it before.Īrmoured Charizard, Mewtwo, Flygon and Zeraora: FALSE

Could this item be getting a facelift? With the new Pokedex, we could see some steel type evolutions of old fan favourites (A steel Eevee-lution, a metal snorlax or a mecha-Wobbuffet would all do well in my opinion) Prepare to go from Inkay to Malamar as I flip your world upside down: WE ALREADY HAVE ARMOURED EVOLUTIONS!Ĭast your mind back to Gen 2 and we have the Metal Coat, an item that evolves Onix to Steelix and Scyther to Scizor.

The consensus online suggest that it is going to be a new feature like Mega-Evolution or Z-moves. This one seems true to me, but not in the same way as the rest of the internet see it. Don’t agree with my choices? read below to see why… The Snake and Horse could be extra legendaries like the ultra-beasts or the legendary birds of Gen 1, so it may not be entirely incorrect. I imagine we will see an armoured wolf legendary in Shield, and a faster steel type wolf in Sword (like a Mega-Lucario). I believe that the legendary Pokemon for this generation will look more like the cover art emblems (at the top of the page) in a similar way to that of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Metal Snake and Wooden Horse legendaries: FALSE Time to use Lock-On and analyse the rest of the 4CHAN post… I do think that Nintendo have the creative licence to move things around a bit so we could see a London-based city buried in the icy Scottish Highlands, with a Newcastle-themed city on the border (hence the ruined city feel, apologies to any Geordies reading!) and then further down a Manchester lookalike and finishing down south with the rolling hills and fields of England’s nature districts. I don’t think that this theory is entirely false, as the shape matches up.

There have been suggestions that it’s an upside down version of the UK, starting in Scotland and making our way up to London. Its also worth mentioning that “Galar” sounds a lot like Gaelic, which is a Celtic language native to Scotland and Ireland. The interesting thing is that some of these facts have been proven, as the titles were correct and the new region called “Galar” does show some resemblance to the UK. One week before the trailer dropped, an anonymous post on 4CHAN, the home of fake news and horrible fan ideas, gave is this information: Lets get the Voltorb rolling… (apologies for all the pokepuns that will follow!) The 4CHAN prophesy: I’ve decided to run through every fan theory I’ve seen, shed some light on what each one could entail for Generation 8 and cap it off as to whether it will be included in the game or not. This has sent the fandom into a frenzy, whipping up potential evolution concepts, some rather absurd fan theories and even some plushies created within a matter of hours after the video! This has polluted the internet more than a horde of Koffings and has made it difficult to spot fact from fiction. Nintendo are at it again, announcing to the world that Pokemon would be back with a bang in a new trailer that shows some of the games new areas, a few returning faces and a cheeky reveal of the three starter types that we are going to be able to choose from.
